Mahatma Gandhi Central Library Catalog
Mahatma Gandhi Central Library is specially crafted to inspire an introspective learning experience. With large, open spaces, niches for collaborative work, creatively designed work platforms and an infusion of natural and architectural aesthetics, the centre will unfold new learning paths for everyone—student, scholar, researcher, teacher, visitor or just a curious mind.It is housed in the first floor of Dr. Mahalingam Vigyan Bhavan and covers an area of 18,000 square feet. The compilation in the library is extensive, owning 64,794 titles and 113,446 volumes, with subscriptions to 212 print journals, 31,500 online international journals, and 36 magazines. The library follows an open access system where patrons can directly use needed books and journals in the reading halls.

Circulation Section
Open access system is followed. Users can borrow books from the Infinity Loop and enter their roll number before submitting to circulation staff. Email confirmation is sent for all transactions.
Duration of Loan
Students: 14 days | Teaching Staff: One semester | Non-teaching Staff: One month. Renewals are allowed if no reservations exist.

Overdue Charges
Rs.2 per day per overdue book.
Loss of Books
If lost or damaged, replacement or payment (double/triple cost) is required.

Contains dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, manuals, and high-priced books.

Special provision for post-matric scholarship students (2,300 books available).
